The day is finally here... I have TWO pairs of custom Birkenstock sandals that have just been launched right this minute!! These are limited edition sandals...there will only be 30 pairs of each sandal (so a total of 60 because there are two different options available) and once they are sold out, they'll be discontinued, :::cue the tears::: so act fast! Each pair is made to order and hand crafted. Actual product may slightly vary due to its custom nature, making each pair completely unique! Straps are soft, Italian leather.
I've been busy creating art for.. babies!!! Because, babies deserve custom art as well!
I really love this concept because YOU get to pick out exactly what you want. You tell me the letter, the size, the colors of the nursery, and the theme you'd like (animals, sports, trains, etc) and I create the perfect piece for ya! Or, just send me pictures of the nursery and I can make some recommendations. This is great if you are expecting, or as a special gift for a baby shower.
Most of us like to begin the New Year with a fresh start... whether re-connecting with people you may have lost touch with... or living a more healthy lifestyle... or getting a new look (I personally just got highlights and a haircut 💁♀️).
For many of us, just changing up the decor in our home (out with old, in with the new), is a GREAT way to start fresh. Art/decor directly affects our mood, so I wanted to share some tups with you.
The main rule in both creating art and purchasing art is: THERE ARE NO RULES!!! With that said, I have some personal interior design tips, as I have been decorating interiors of homes, hotels, and restaurants over the years.
1) Art does not need to match your decor or furniture. Pick something that speaks to you and you feel a connection with. Over the years, I've had people say "I always have trouble connecting to art but for some reason this piece of yours speaks to me." And sometimes it's the story behind a piece that makes my customers buy it. So when a customer asks for my opinion, I'll give it, but I also tell them to go with their gut. This painting is for you... not me!
Nine years ago, I left my full-time job as a Speech-Language Pathologist. I got a new boss who was out to make everyone's life hell (what is wrong with some people?!), so myself, as well as many other coworkers, all quit.
With nothing else lined up, I decided to tap back into my creative side and start painting, which I had set aside for many years, as a hobby. I quickly realized how much I had missed painting and began applying to art galleries, festivals, contests, etc, and everything took off fast. I was even asked to paint live at Pitbull's New Years Eve concert just 2 years later! You can watch how that came about in this video:
It's been months in the making, and I'm thrilled to announce my first ever holiday collection, "LOVEly heARTs," is about to be released! I'll be releasing all 24 hearts in this collection to the public on Monday Nov 14th, but I'll be sending you, my very special email subscriber, the link to be able to purchase before the public gets the link, on Sunday Nov 13th.
Here's a quick video below, where I discuss the details of the collection and show you pieces up close!
Over the last few months, I've created eight VERY different pieces. I have just added them to my website and wanted to share the backstories with you, as well as some process videos!
1) Golden Hour was created using Crackling Paste. This was the first time i ever used this medium. Once you apply the paste to the canvas, it begins to crack over the next 24 hours. I then used acrylic ink to create this abstract sunset. You can watch the making of this painting by clicking right here Original 10x8": $325
And since many have you have asked for a smaller sized option, I just added a 10x10” fine art paper print for $95 + free shipping! Only 45 will be produced so hop on it soon
This limited edition is named "Fab Four" because it is comprised of my four best sellers, all within one image. This means, you'll get a collage of four in one! So not only is it a Limited Edition, but also a Special Edition, because this print is one of a kind and not available anywhere else.
Here it is!!
This one print is comprised of my four best sellers...
I was hired to create a mural on a Utility Box in Downtown Atlanta.
Not gonna lie... Murals are always exciting, but also challenging. Whether it's my fear of heights while up on a scissor lift, dealing with rain, or a bumpy surface that is difficult to paint all the crevices of... I usually get a little nervous beforehand. But once completed, it is SO satisfying! For this one, I had to clean the box using goo gone and rubbing alcohol, sand it, apply 3 coats of primer, paint it, apply an isolation coat and finally used varnish to seal it. All the passersby gave me such positive feedback and I am proud to show ya my newest mural...
I'm excited to share with you my latest painting! Bur first, I want to preface this email by saying I love ALL the pieces I create. That's because, I don't stop working on a piece until I love it enough to want to have it hanging on my own walls. However, close to 9 years ago, I created a painting, and I remember stepping back from it after I finished it, and saying to myself "I can't believe I made that!" It was that moment that I decided I wanted to quit my Corporate America job as a Speech Pathologist, and become an artist. I was so obsessed with it that I named it “My Favorite Piece”. It sold quickly and is living in an NYC apartment...
OK, fiiiineee... maybe it's not actually MY hotel... but having worked with CitizenM hotel for the last 6 months, as their in-room artist for the locations in Brickell and Downtown Miami, it sure feels like I've become a part of the CitizenM family.
After MUCH anticipation, the hotel just opened last week, and let me tell you, it is AHHH-MAZING! There is artwork EVERYWHERE. I toured it a few months ago because I was dying to see my two acrylic prints hanging in the rooms, and here's a little clip of that tour
For the first time ever, I am launching a collection! And, for the first time ever, I've painted on 6x6" canvases, which is why I named this collection "Lil Babes."
There are ten 6x6" paintings ($137) and one 8x8" painting ($197) plus free shipping. Of course they can be hung, but they are perfect to just lean against a window, or on a desk, prop up on a dresser or side table, etc!
All of these were created using a palette knife. NO paintbrushes were used. And it was such a satisfying process, pushing the paint around with the palette knife. It makes for some interesting texture.
You can watch a video where I show each painting up close, right here
Here are thumbnails of each painting..
Just wanted to share my latest commission with you..because it is HUGE!! 72x48" to be exact!
So here is the story behind this one...
My painting "Surprise" has been a best selling print over the last year. Customers have purchased it on canvas, metal, coasters, etc.. however this customer wanted an Embellished Print. What does that mean? (Scroll down to watch a short video of the full explanation)...
I recently had 3 paintings installed in the lobby of an apartment building in Brickell, called Neo Vertika. (*For those of you who live in the building, stay tuned.. I'll be choosing one of you to win a free print July 15th!*) The wall they are hung on is ginormous, almost making my 3ftx4ft paintings look small!!! Watching the installation process was so fun.... Here is a quick video of that process
The three paintings in the lobby are for sale (the middle one is actually a canvas print, as the original has sold) and are also available as prints on canvas, metal, acrylic, wood, paper, etc, as well as on merchandise (coasters, pillows, tote bags, phone cases etc). Here are the 3 images, and if you click them, it will bring you to these options...
It is crazy that this is my first painting in 2022!! But I ended up not feeling motivated to paint when my hand was broken and in a cast… but now that that’s behind me, there will be a lot of painting moving forward 🙌...
Although here in Miami we really only have one season (boooo), today is officially Spring! AND, tomorrow is National Flower Day! How appropriate, right?!
In honor of these two days, I am running a 2 day flash sale- now through 3/22... on all my spring-y, flower-y paintings! Get 25% off any of the 6 images below (originals, embellished prints, prints, merchandise) with code "SpringFlowers" at checkout. You can check them all out here, or individually below.
1) "Spring Showers" was created in 2020, when I saw staying at my parents house during the pandemic. I had to paint on their patio (under an overhang) so that I didn't ruin their house. It was pouring everyday for a week, so this painting came from that experience. I wanted it to symbolize the rain, but in a "spring-like" way, hence the pastel colors and rain drips. I then painted "May Flowers" right after this one, once the sun came out.
2) "May Flowers" was created once the rain and gloom stopped. It has been a best seller ever since.

As we have all been watching these horrific events unfold over the last few weeks, our hearts are breaking for everyone in Ukraine. It is unbelievable that this can be happening today, in the 21st century.
While watching the news, I saw this video of a Ukrainian woman offering sunflower seeds to a Russian soldier, so sunflowers would grow if he died on Ukraine's soil. It was so powerful!! The sunflower is actually Ukraine's National Flower.
I know we all feel helpless, yet are still trying to help in our own ways. Now through the end of March, I'll be donating all net proceeds from the sale of my sunflower painting (whether a canvas print, coffee mug, merchandise, etc) to an organization that is offering aid to Ukraine.
I'm curious what you think of having art in a bathroom… Yay or nay? Do you have any in yours?
I personally love it and recommend hanging either framed paper prints, metal prints, or acrylic prints, as they will hold up best! Be careful with canvas art due to humidity, depending on shower usage. And because bathroom wall space isn’t too big, it’s an affordable way to show off a piece(s) you love!
I have an augmented reality tool (“Live Preview AR”) on my website for every single print, so you can project the image on your wall and play around with sizing, to see what fits your space the best. Message me if you’d like any recommendations!
I have partnered with CitizenM hotels, which is an international hotel that loves to add artistic touches to them. They are opening two locations in Miami, one in Brickell and one Downtown, and two of my prints will be in each hotel room, hung as a pair. They sent me the artwork printed on acrylic, so I could see them before installation happens at the hotel. Here's what they look like...
I finally got around to giving a tour of my new place and you can watch it right here! I moved about a month ago and then immediately broke my hand. I’ll be creating a new collection, called “Lefty Life,” using just my left hand. And as a thank you for being on my email list, you will see the paintings before they get posted to the public, on social media. So stay tuned because I already have a ton of interesting ideas...
You may have seen my national TV commercial throughout 2019, for the company “LIFEWTR.” This water company’s message truly knocks all the others out of the park, as they strongly believe in the power of art for children. If you didn’t see the commercial, here is a clip as well as the longer version.
I wanted to take a minute to tell you the backstory of how this once in a “LIFEtime” opportunity came to be...
Art Basel is officially over, but WHOA, what a week it was! I saw tons of art, and had two solo exhibits. But the highlight for me was a swimwear fashion show, using my own artwork, at the YVE Hotel in Downtown Miami.
Two of my paintings, "Chicken Parm" and "Experimentation" (pictured below) were used to create these bathing suits. The paintings were shot by a professional photographer, and therefore are high resolution files, can be blown up huge, and can be printed onto bathing suits.. and anything else! Continue reading to watch the fashion show video!
I feel so lucky. I got to spend some time painting with children at Baptist Children's Hospital. Some were hooked up to IV's, others were in casts, some were receiving chemo... it was such a special and sentimental day.
Afterwards, I painted these "Healing Ceiling Tiles" for the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) for the hospital. While these children are lying in bed, they can look up at colorful artwork. I'm hoping these “healing ceilings” put a smile on these kids faces, even for a brief moment 💔
Earlier this year, Sophia Lambert, a Delta Phi Epsilon sister at The University of Florida , tragically lost her life. I didn't personally know her, but have heard nothing but wonderful things about her 💗 She was known as a free spirit, and loved butterflies. Now, her pledge class is moving into the sorority house and will have this butterfly painting ("Butterfly Effect") hung in their house...
Hallandale Beach is getting EVEN prettier than it already was! As part of a beautification project, I've been hired to create several works of art on fire hydrants around the city (don't worry, it was of course approved by the city). I just completed my third one, and there will be more to come in the near future...
I’ve loved volunteering at schools and hospitals over the years, so I decided to put something fun together to share with you! I’ve created a special tutorial of different techniques to do add texture to your paintings. It's great to try with your kids or grandkids (or yourself)! Just click this link to gain access to my free tutorial...
In honor of National Sailing Month, I present “Smooth Sailing.” Years ago, the Florida Lottery hired me to paint live at Sunfest Music Festival, in West Palm Beach. As a Bright Futures University of Florida graduate (scholarship program funded by the Florida lottery), I was asked to paint my interpretation of how my Bright Futures Scholarship impacted my future. The scholarship allowed me to focus on my studies and not have to worry about the financial burden of college; hence its title, “Smooth Sailing...”
Last night I finished a painting!!! WOOOHOOO! But why is this such great news? Because it took 8 freaking months to complete; hence its name "Eternity." I had no direction in mind when I began, and no clear direction as I kept painting. So, I just continued building up layers and texture over the months, until...
My grandma, Rose, was one of my favorite people in the world. She raised my mom as a single mother, working several jobs to support her. She worked hard, loved hard, and enjoyed life to the fullest. We celebrated her 95th birthday on a cruise... and a few months later, she was gone. My mom and I stood at her bedside while she took her last breath, July 4th 2009. It made sense that Independence Day would be her last day on Earth, because...
Today is LET IT GO day!!! This "Frozen" song has resonated with me (it’s still my ringtone 7 years later) so much so, that I created this painting in 2015, and named it “Let it go,” as it’s my take on just letting sh*t go (easier said than done, which is why I felt the need to throw it onto a canvas). I showed this piece at a festival that year, and when I explained the meaning behind it to this man, he said “sold!” and walked away with it. And he’s been a collector ever since...
Go big or go home.. right? Well, I went BIG! I was just commissioned to revamp an old piano, and give it a modern twist to match my client's home. I am so stoked with how it turned out! Check out the before and after..
Quick weekend update because I am still on a high from this past Saturday night! I was invited to showcase my art during the Miami Marlins game. I did some live painting, hung out with Billy the Marlin (turns out he’s a legit art collector- who knew?!), did a painting giveaway to someone in the crowd, and had a segment on the Jumbotron! So honored to have had this opportunity!
I wanted to quickly share the latest with my art. This past week, I completed a mural that was commissioned by the Miami Shores Village. I was supposed to begin this mural exactly one year ago, but the project was postponed when Covid hit. At that time, my mock up looked completely different (think: palm trees). In a way, I’m happy that it was postponed, because this new design is more fitting for these times...
Happy National Guitar Day! Although I don't play any instruments, I loooove listening to music while I paint. Depending on my mood, I listen to a wide array of songs when painting. I've never been able to paint in silence- too boring!
Since I'm not musically inclined, I decided to use my talent to create directly ON a guitar. This was one of my favorite commissions!
I also created a custom guitar painting for Taylor Hicks (winner of American Idol back in the day). Super nice guy!
So, as we enter our LAST WEEK OF 2020, I’m doing a lot of reflecting. This year began like any other…”2020 will be my best year yet!” You too, right? Within a couple months, all of our worlds changed. For the first month of quarantine, I had no interest in art. Luckily that changed in April, and I began creating artwork like a madwoman…
Today was a big day in history! Political views aside, I think we can all agree that Kamala has Shattered The Glass Ceiling. Lately, I have been doing a lot of research on other historical women, who have broken the glass ceiling.
This all has me so inspired that I decided to create a new series called "Shattered." All these paintings will be 20x20", and I am currently working on my second piece in the series. Here is the first:
OK SO, why am I wearing this sweater? 1) It is freeeezing in Miami today, and 2) Today marks 7 years that I made the switch from a full time Speech-Language Pathologist to professional artist. I quit my job to do something I love. Although that seems scary, I wasn’t too worried because...
I was recently asked to share my story... why I decided to quit Corporate America to become an artist, and how I got started. I’ll be sharing that once it gets published, but for now, I leave you with this picture from 2014. This was the first time I exhibited my artwork. I set up shop at a local farmers market with my mom. I expected to sell a bunch... however...
My grandma, Rose, loved butterflies. Her fridge was COVERED in colorful butterfly magnets. Growing up, she encouraged me to draw every time I’d visit her, and even had a designated work area for me. She’d sit me down with a vintage box that was filled with broken crayons, and have me look through magazines with flowers and animals (especially butterflies), for inspiration. "Butterfly Effect" was created in her memory.
How has Covid affected your creativity?! More puzzles? Learned a new instrument? Rearranged your furniture?
Initially, the pandemic stripped me of my color, creativity and drive. I didn't pick up a paintbrush from March 14th- mid April. I had zero interest in painting…. and spent my days and nights glued to the TV, listening to all the Coronavirus updates. But that day in mid April when I picked my paintbrush back up, I lined up about five canvases, and...
“Hearts Collide” was created five years ago, as a reminder to spread love and kindness. This message couldn't be more relevant today, as 2020 has caused chaos, anger, anxiety... I could go on and on.. but I won't! Instead...
