July 4th Is The Hardest Day For Me

My grandma, Rose, was one of my favorite people in the world. She raised my mom as a single mother, working several jobs to support her. She worked hard, loved hard, and enjoyed life to the fullest. We celebrated her 95th birthday on a cruise... and a few months later, she was gone. My mom and I stood at her bedside while she took her last breath, July 4th 2009. It made sense that Independence Day would be her last day on Earth, as she couldn't have been any more independent. Although it is a hard day, I am going to celebrate her and our memories this Sunday.

In memory of my grandma, here is a painting I created called "Butterfly Effect." She loved butterflies, and she is also part of the reason I became an artist! Click here for more info on that

On a brighter note, I hope you have a wonderful July 4th!
